Sir Winston Churchill High School prioritizes excellence. Provide a rigorous International Baccalaureate (IB) program. This program begins in grade 10. Covers subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, Biology and Business Management. As students progress to grade 11 they have the chance to explore a selection of IB courses including Art, Chemistry, Computer Science, World History, English, French and Mandarin. This program not challenges students. Also encourages them to engage with scientific concepts through hands on projects. In their year (grade 12) students undertake self directed Extended Essays that showcase their abilities.

A Rich Sporting Legacy

While situated in Calgary NW this school takes pride in its athletic tradition as demonstrated by our active participation, in the Calgary Zone of the Alberta Schools Athletic Association. Sports cover a range of activities, including Wrestling, Badminton, Basketball, Rugby, Swimming, Diving, Soccer, Field Hockey, Table Tennis and Volleyball. The achievements of the Swimming, Basketball and Wrestling teams are a testament, to their dedication. They have consistently won the City Championship in Volleyball and the City Swim Team Championships.
